KenyaNanyuki Spinners & Weavers

Some of the largest slums in Africa are located in Nanyuki, near the base of Mt. Kenya, northwest of Nairobi. The Nanyuki Spinners and Weavers project was started in 1977 and today over 100 women rely on their income from carding, spinning, dyeing, and weaving sheep's wool and now cotton too.
